Betty was born December 18, 1932 in O’Donnell, Texas to Cecil and Ruby Walker. She married Ray Currey on October 15, 1955 and lived a fulfilling life as a mother, grandmother, sister, wife, aunt, and friend. She loved living on the farm and raising her girls Cindy and Cathy. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and quilting with the Scrapbag Ladies.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, brother and nephew.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy (Ralph) Thomas, Cathy (Tony) Jeter; four grandchildren: Cody (Ashley) Mandrell, Cole Mandrell, Kayci (Toby) Dennis, Tiffany (Joseph) Tenery; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family invites you to join them as they celebrate her life with a visitation beginning Friday, December 8, 2023 from 5pm-7pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. Services will continue with a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 1pm in Resthaven Funeral Home Abbey Chapel. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
