

Betty married the love of her life, Robert Eugene "Bob" Mooney, on June 11, 1949. Together they built a life filled with family, friendship, and cherished memories.
Before dedicating herself to raising her children, Betty worked as a bookkeeper. She was a lifetime member of the DAV and generously volunteered her time in support of veterans and their families.
Betty enjoyed cooking and was an avid reader. In her younger years, she and Bob shared a love of boating and traveling by motorcycle. Above all, she was devoted to her family and especially treasured her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother. Betty never met a stranger and loved carrying on a conversation. Those who knew her will remember her warm smile, kind heart, and welcoming spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Travis Marion Marshall and Lydia Alice Marshall (Smith), her brother Sidney Wayne Marshall, as well as her beloved husband, Bob. Betty is survived by her son, Travis Mooney, and his children, Brittany, Amber, and Robbie, along with their families; her daughter, Cynthia, and son-in-law Scott, and their children, Claire (husband Catfish) and Jake; her adopted grandchildren, Kara McKay and
Kayla Moers; great-grandchildren James, Katie, Brooke, Nathan, Brynlee, and Braelyn; her brother, Jim Marshall; and her sister, Millie Lewis. She leaves behind a large and loving family who will cherish her memory forever.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on September 30, 2026, at Resthaven Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on October 1, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Resthaven.
Betty's legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
