

Billy Lloyd Sisson, born November 22, 1937 in Evansville, Indiana, passed away at Covenant Lakeside on October 12, 2013. Visitation with the family will be October 16th from 6-8 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at Raintree Christian Church on October 17th at 10 a.m.
One of nine siblings, Bill was the self-employed owner of D&L Masonry, which helped shape the Lubbock skyline. He was a member of the Rolling Ghosts roller hockey team going on to be a world class referee. Bill traveled the world promoting the sport for the last 35 years. Bill refereed in 8 world championships and the Pan American Games twice. He served as the US Ball Hockey Chairman for 28 years. He was a National Meet Director for over 30 years. Bill also served on the Board of Directors for the ABC bank since the 1970s. He served as president of Red Bud Lions Club from 1981-1982.
Bill married the love of his life, Janice Rae Critchfield, on February 14, 1959. They had three children; Sheri Sisson, Stanley Sisson, and Kevin Sisson.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Shirland and Nellie Sisson, and siblings Nellie Cherry, Edwin A. Sisson, David Sisson and Ricky Sisson.
Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 54 years, Janice; and their children Sheri Sisson, Stanley Sisson (Judith) and Kevin Sisson (Barbie); His siblings Dickie Sisson, Shirley Christian, Laura Jean Jenkins and Gary Sisson; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
