Billy J Stuart, 91, of Lubbock, TX, passed away on October 30, 2021. He was born in Portales, NM on June 4, 1930. He was married to the love of his life, Winnie M. Davis on August 23, 1958. They had 64 years of cherished happiness. They met while working as butchers for Furr’s Supermarkets. He retired from Texas Tech University after 25 years of service.
He was a man who deeply loved his wife, daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his Grandson Stuart Ringler, Parents Ben & Ruth Stuart, Sisters Bernice Spears and Dorothy Bomaster, Brothers Melvin Stuart and Clyde Stuart. He is survived by his loving wife Winnie Stuart, daughter Karen and husband Jim K Smith, and daughter Sharon and husband John Ringler, grandchildren Jeff Carter, Heather and husband Casey Thompson, Samantha Biffle. Great Grandchild Adalyn Thompson.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home Friday, November 5, 2021 from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral service will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 10am with graveside service to follow.
