Bruno was born on July 23, 1943, in Brownwood, Texas, to Josephine and Bruno Jimenez.
He grew up with a strong work ethic that would define his life. A hardworking and determined man, Bruno later founded his own business, Bruno JimenezJr. Dirt Contracting, building it through dedication, grit, and perseverance.
Bruno married Olga Garcia Jimenez, and together they raised three children. He was a man who was always working, providing, and leading by example. His family described him as tough, resilient, and steadfast, qualities that shaped not only his career but also the legacy he leaves behind.
He was preceded in death by his parents Josephine Sierra Albidrez and Bruno Jimenez; his son, Leonard Jimenez; his daughter, Joann Jimenez; and his grandson, Daniel Hernandez.
Bruno is survived by; his children, Delores Jimenez Fernandez, Bruno Jimenez III, and Victor Jimenez; his siblings, Rosary Phipps, Vickie Moreno, Josie Soliz, Sally Devita, and Demetrio Albidrez; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home & Memorial Park, located at 5740 West 19th Street, Lubbock, Texas, 79407, on February 25, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same venue on February 26, 2026, starting at 12:00 am.
Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens.
