Calvin T. Harkness

Calvin T. Harkness, of Lubbock, Texas passed away November 6, 2018. He was born in Clarendon, Texas, to Weldon and Maye Harkness on November 28, 1938.
Calvin graduated from Lubbock High School in 1957 and married Winnie Cunningham on March 14, 1958. He was a long-time member of Southside Church of Christ and retired from a thirty-three year career with R.C. Taylor Distributing in 2008. Calvin had a passion for God, country, family…and sports.
He is survived by his wife Winnie of sixty years; daughter Sheril Harkness of Lubbock, son Stephen Harkness and wife Cindy of Lubbock, daughter Staci Brown and husband Bill of Whiteface; grandchildren Ferin, Brisa, and Brandel, and great-grandchildren E.J. and Breelynn.
Preceding Calvin in death were his parents, sister Lometa Wolfe, and great-grandson Malachi. Visitation will be from 5PM to 7 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, November 9, 2018. Funeral services will be held at Resthaven Abbey Chapel on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 10AM.
