Carl went to be with his Lord on Sunday August 18, 2019. He is survived by his loving Wife Betty McInroe of Lubbock and one Son, Erik McInroe also of Lubbock. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
Carl was born to Arthur B & Cornelia McInroe in Seagraves, TX on February 15, 1925. He moved to Idalou at a very young age where he attended school all the way through high school. Upon completion of high school he then moved to Levelland, TX and entered into business where he opened a gas station.
In 1951 he decided to join the US Army and served through 1953. Upon his return to Levelland he went into the Restaurant business and opened the popular Chat N' Chew restaurant, one of his most prized accomplishments! Carl was just a natural Entrepreneur as he also dabbled in hotels, apartments & New Home Construction. In the early 1970's in search of a change he moved to Deaf Smith County & became a local citizen in Friona, TX where he farmed & ranched, once again chased his true passion in the restaurant business, and opened the Parmer House Restaurant; later changed to the Headquarters.
In 1976 he met the Love of his life and married Betty Conner on February 6, 1976 in Amarillo, TX. In November of 1978 born to them was the greatest joy of his life in Stephen Erik McInroe. After raising Erik in Friona through his high school graduation in 1997, Carl and Betty moved to Lubbock in October of 2002. There they enjoyed their retirement and made many new friends & became active members of the Kings Ridge Church of Christ. Carl was a very special man who touched many people's hearts over the years & he will be greatly missed! He may be gone, but will never be forgotten! We are sad that he is no longer with us, but celebrate the wonderful life that he lived & the many lives he impacted! He is now dancing with the angels!!
