Carlos Vicente Longoria V, age 25, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born on September 25th, 2000, in Midland, Texas and lived his childhood in Brownsville, Texas where he attended Homer Hanna High School and graduated with the Class of 2019. He then moved to Lubbock, Texas to pursue his education in Hospitality and Realty Management at Texas Tech University while working as a bartender at The Lantern Tavern. In Lubbock, he formed and lived with his little family consisting of wife Lizbeth Del Carmen Arellano and one son Carlos Manuel Longoria VI.
Carlos lived a life full of love and connection. He was a cherished husband, father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, brother-in-law, son-in-law, and your favorite bartender. Above all else, he was a deeply caring and devoted father.
At his very core, Carlos was an old soul—someone who found joy in the stories, craftsmanship, and charm of the past. He had a deep appreciation for the vintage aesthetic, often spending his time exploring antique stores and hunting for old radios, TVs, cassette players, and anything with that classic leather look. His collection of unique belt buckles, rings, watches, cool bottles, old coins, and even beer caps reflected his passion for saving little pieces of history.
A man of many passions, he loved watching movies at the theaters, playing golf and Pokemon Go, collecting Magic and specialty cards, crafting drinks, and boxing recreationally. Above all his hobbies, he shared his magic with the people around him. He took the time to teach his son Carlos how to do "magic tricks," passing on a sense of wonder and fun.
From the Dallas Stars to rom-coms like She’s All That, shows like Yellowstone and Ted Lasso, and movies like La La Land; he loved a lot of things. But above all, he was the biggest fan of his little family.
Carlos was a man who carried a lot of love in his heart. He leaves behind a legacy of deep love and fierce devotion. As a father, he was endlessly enchanted by his two-year old son Carlitos and made sure to pour endless patience, joy, and affection into every moment they shared. To his wife Liz, he was a protector - someone who cherished her and loved her immensely.
Carlos leaves behind an irreplaceable void in our hearts, but his legacy of kindness will never be forgotten. He will be deeply and eternally missed by the Longoria family, the Arellano family, and by every single person who was fortunate enough to cross paths with him in this life.
Carlos is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Nora De León Ramírez and his paternal grandmother, Francisca Calderón Longoria.
