Carlton R Matthews

Scooter was born on January 17, 1975, in Lubbock, Texas, to Corky and Jaince Matthews. He graduated from Frenship High School. Scooter married his high school sweet heart, Holly, on June 4, 1998. Scooter was a life time employee of Matthews Backhoe as a heavy equipment operator. Scooter’s main passion in life was his wife and boys. He was an avid lover of all things that involved RC cars. He also had a passion for fast cars and trucks. Scooter loved hunting, fishing, and all things outdoors.

Scooter was preceded in death by his mother Janice Matthews, nephew Roy "Fella" Matthews III, grandfather Roy Matthews, and grandmother Imogene Fairies.

He is survived by his wife, Holly, two sons Buff and Seth, his father Corky Matthews, a brother Roy Matthews II and wife, Misty, and a sister Misty Matthews. Nephews; Tyler, Ian, Michael, and Hunter. Nieces; Kaidyn, Amanda, Taylor, Chloe, and Lindsey.
