

Carlton Peters, 73, of Lubbock passed away May 17, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. Visitation will be held this evening from 6 until 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday May 21, 2013 at Bible Baptist Church in Slaton at 2:00pm, with Pastor Chris Downer officiating.
Carlton was born September 9, 1939 in Morton, TX to the late Andrew Jackson and Marie (Caine) Peters. He attended school in Morton. He married Phyllis Evans whom he started a life and a family that he loved very much, and savored his special moments he shared with them. During this time he embarked on a new opportunity and started Williams and Peters Construction Company. Where he worked hard and constructed many of the roads in this area.
He leaves to cherish his love and memories his devoted wife Phyllis; four children, Teresa(Jim), Sandra, Mike, Missy(Barry); 13 grand children; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Frances, Gloria, Andrea, and Twila; one brother D.J; and host of other relatives and friends.
