Carol Ann Payne, 80, passed away July 25, 2015, in San Marcos, Texas. She was born June 26, 1935, in Lubbock, Texas. Carol loved to read and animals especially her cat, Charlie, but most of all she loved her family and being with them.
Survivors include her son, Jim Payne and wife, Sheryl of New Braunfels, Texas; granddaughter, Christina Akins and husband Ben of Shallowater; grandson, Derek Payne of Austin; great-grandson, Aiden Wertman.
Visitation will be Friday, July 31, 2015, from 6 to 7 p.m. in Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 1st at 1 p.m. in the Abbey Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home, followed by burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. The family suggests contributions be made to West Texas Humane Society.
