Cherrille Courtney Schuetzeberg

Cherrille L. Schuetzeberg, age 88, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on July 19, 2023. She was born on April 4, 1935 in Lubbock, Texas, to George S. Lemon, Sr. and Pauline S. Lemon. She was a 1953 graduate of Lubbock High School. She attended Texas Tech University where she joined Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education in 1957. She married Roy Schuetzeberg on April 7, 1967 in Lubbock, Texas.

Cherrille had a great love of nature and the outdoors. She tended gardens and flowers wherever she lived. She loved to sing and enjoyed music all her life. Travel was another love. With family living throughout the Southwest, she had many opportunities to hop in the car to see grandchildren or gather at beloved family reunions. She had many childhood friends that were like sisters to her. To this day many childhood friends are still dear family friends. Cherrille loved her family more than words can say. And, her greatest 4-legged love was her dog, Dee Dee.

Cherrille is survived by her husband, Roy; daughter, Kelly Loewenstein and her husband, Jim; daughter, Shannon Andre’ and her husband, Bruce; daughter, Julie Kaltenbach and her husband, John; son, Jon; and son, Wade; ten beloved grandchildren; and a brother, Jon Lemon of Austin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, George Lemon, Jr. of Winnsboro, Texas.

The family would like to express their thanks for the wonderful help and care given by The Legacy of South Plains and Gentiva Hospice. There will be a small private immediate family service at Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Lubbock, Texas.
