Crespin Garcia-Bocanegra

Funeral Mass for Crespin Garcia-Bocanegra, 76, of Lubbock will be recited at 10 am, Friday, June 17, 2011 at St Elizabeth’s Catholic Church Chapel with Father Emiliano Zapata officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Mr. Bocanegra passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011. He was born December 5, 1934 in Odem, Texas to the late Tito and Guadalupe (Garcia) Bocanegra. He married Anastacia Garza June 10, 1969 in Lubbock. Mr. Bocanegra was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church and Cursillista. He loved music, fishing, making people laugh and spending time with family and friends. He was the greatest husband, father, and grandfather. He was a skilled carpenter and enjoyed building things. Mr. Bocanegra was employed for 25 years by Methodist Hospital until his retirement.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, children; Cris and Kelly Bocanegra, Jr. of Martindale, Texas, Belinda Quintero, Mike and MelonieGarza, Esmeralda and Richard Sifuentes, Rosa Bocanegra, Crispen (Pepino) Bocanegra, JoAnne and Jimmie Castro all of Lubbock and Jennifer and Agustin Chavarria of Levelland, 14 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
