Cynthia Renee Young was born on December 6, 1961, in Lubbock, Texas Cyndy was deeply rooted in her community and treasured the simple joys of home, family, and loyal companionship.
Cyndy dedicated her career to serving at Texas Tech University for 25 years. Where she was a valued employee and friend to many. She was known for her reliability, quiet strength, and the steady kindness she showed to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her Mother Virginia Young
She is survived by her father, Eddie Don Young, her sister, Kim Long ( Bill Long); and her brother, Mitchel Young (Margo Young). She was a proud and loving aunt to her nephews, Zane Young,Tanner Webb,Ethan Young, Ryker Hodges and her nieces, Jenny Bruno (Matt)and Jaylie Bruno all of whom brought her tremendous joy.
Cyndy had a special love for her dogs, Ginger and Rocky, who were her constant companions and faithful friends.
She will be remembered for her devotion to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her love for her family, her love for her work, and the warmth she carried in her heart. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
A viewing will be held Friday at Resthaven from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Resthaven 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
