David E. McGuire was born on August 28, 1938 in Bedford, Indiana to Oliver E. and Margaret (Shaff) McGuire. He entered the United States Air Force on August 20,1956 and retired on April 30, 1978. After his retirement he joined the parts department at Scoggin Dickey and retired in 2008 after 30 years of loyal service. He married Betty Linda Brewington on April 27, 1991.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Linda McGuire; son, LaRay McGuire; daughters, Kelly Joest (Robert) and Dava Gail Franklin; grandchildren, Joshua Shankles, Chelsea Taylor, Ashlee Franklin, Brenna Franklin, and Kristen Clawson (Cody), Jacquelyn Joest, Cannon Joest; great-grandchildren, Andrew Clawson and Brayden Clawson; brother, Charles McGuire (Margaret); sisters, Sharon Vaught (Boomie) and Mary Lee (Don); He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Margaret McGuire and a sister, Barbara Goodin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Interim Hospice.
