

David Keith Finley, born on June 20, 1933, in Amarillo, Texas, to Oneida and William Finley, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He lived a life defined by service, kindness, humor, and an unwavering love for those around him.
David proudly served his country in the United States Army for three years before dedicating the next 30 years of his life to a career in law enforcement. He was respected for his commitment to serving his community and admired by those who had the privilege of working alongside him.
To those who knew him best, David will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, a gifted storyteller, and someone who could always make others laugh. His warmth, kindness, and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Whether sharing one of his many stories or simply spending time with family, David had a special way of making people feel welcome and loved.
David was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Callie Finley; his parents, Oneta and William Finley; his brother, Bill Finley; and his sister, Imogene Wooley.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Brenda Lindaman and Sheila Finley; his grandchildren, Jason Lindaman, Sheramie Jones, Michael Harne, and Laura Escobedo; and his many cherished great-grandchildren, who brought him tremendous joy. He is also survived by his brothers, James Finley and John Finley; his nephew, Calvin Kidwell, and Calvin's wife, Sheila Kidwell; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Friday, July 17, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
A Celebration of David's Life will be held on Saturday, July 18, at 10:30 a.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, 6025 82nd Street, Lubbock, Texas. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home.
David's legacy of love, laughter, service, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
