I emptied my desk at Scott and White today as I finished my fellowship. Couldn't help but think back to my first days and you helping me down in nuclear medicine as I saw your picture on the way out.  You are always in my prayers.

Just found out from TTUHSC Pulse that David Kidwell has died.  I went with CMDA to El Paso in early 2009 and found David friendly and inspiring.  I weep with those who weep and rejoice with the hope of the resurrection.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with David in the ICU and I never met a more compassionate, conscientious and dedicated person. He will be sorely missed. May God console the family he left behind.

We didn't know David personally or his family.  Our son, Dustin James, was a Farmhouse member who pledged with him at Texas Tech.  Dustin always spoke fondly of David and recalls great memories of a fine, brilliant young man and friend.  We are deeply saddened by your loss and pray for your peace and comfort during this time.

Today is Friday, 5-26-17, and I just learned that Dr. Kidwell had passed away. Dr. Kidwell was my Cardiologist at Scott and White Hospital. The way he conducted business was nothing less than professional. I was his patient as well as his friend. I wanted to express my condolences to the family. He will be missed.

Tom & Vicki, John, Lauren and Ella - I am so sad to hear the news of David's passing. So many memories come to mind of those elementary years at Murfee. The memories that have had the most impact, and that bring the most peace are the weekly prayer times that I had with Vicki, and sometimes others, as we prayed for our kids. I am so thankful for the time spent in prayer. As David has matured and succeeded, it is obvious that he has done so in a way that reflects his love of God. David's brilliant mind and compassionate heart has been with him always. I am praying for all of the family during this time and the days and months to come, asking God's presence to be strong in each of your hearts. I am so sorry that I missed the service, the video tribute was a blessing to see. He is one who has touched many lives, even if he didn't realize the impact. May you know God holds your hearts close to His.

Oh Vicki, I just got the news and I am crying as I type. Every memory I have of David is full of laughter and fun. He was an absolute joy to teach and my heart is breaking with yours. I promise to hold your family high in prayer and I'm trusting that Jesus is right with you in the valley step by step.

Mr. and Mrs. Kidwell and John, I just learned today about David.  You may not remember me, but he was my student at Monterey.  I am so heartbroken to hear of your loss.  David was a wonderful young man who I deeply respected.  He was a joy to teach and to know.  I was thrilled to get to see him when he was a resident at UMC and my Mom was in the hospital there.  I will always hold my memories of David close to my heart.  Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I remember Dr. Kidwell as a kind, caring man. It was an extreme pleasure to know and work with him. I pray for peace and healing during this difficult time.

The tremendous Christian service in celebration of David would not have been possible had David not been one of the most wonderful Christian men in the world. He was, and will continue to be an inspiration to his family and friends, and to all of us who were fortunate enough to have known him. The world is a much lesser place without David, and I know that his family is suffering horribly from his absence. I just hope and pray that the knowledge that David is in paradise in one of God's many mansions, where he will one day meet the rest of his family with his new healed body, will comfort John, Lauren, Ella, Vickie and Tommy, and will assuage the tremendous anguish that we know they are feeling. I know that the Kidwell family will seek God's help and guidance to comfort them through this terrible loss.

A brilliant mind, a servant's heart and eyes that danced with joy.  David and a few others in the Christian medical student group visited my 99 year old grandmother.  She told stories.  They laughed until they cried.  Then we all sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace together.  God's kingdom was present on earth that night, as it was so often where you walked.  Rest well dear friend.

I was blessed to spend time with David when I worked at TTU Student Government.  He was one of the most gracious young men I ever knew and a precious friend  He was so gentle and generous and always smiling.  I pray God comfort his sweet wife, daughter and family.

Lauren may God wrap his loving arms around you and give you the peace, comfort, and understanding  that only He can give you in this time of sorrow!  Please know we are praying for you, sweet Ella, and your entire family!

To the Kidwell Family,I apologize I am not able to make it to Lubbock for David's funeral tomorrow due to a work obligation.  David was one of the nicest, most caring, and genuine people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.  I was proud to call him my brother through FarmHouse Fraternity.  I looked forward to a time when all of our lives/school/careers calmed down so we could spend more time together.  While there is nothing I can say to erase the pain of your loss, I just want you to know that there are people all over Texas, both known and unknown to you, who were touched by David and will miss him dearly. Dear Vickie and Tom, I don't know when I've met a more precious young man than David. I met him when he was only four, but he never failed to greet me like an old friend and treat me as a close friend.  David lit up any room he entered.  He was kind, strikingly handsome, diligent, loving, thoughtful, and loved his family with a fierceness.  My heart is broken with all of yours.  I am so very, very sorry. My prayers are with you, John. and your precious parents.  This world lost one of its best,  but to be absent from this world is to be present with his Lord.

Tom, Vicki & John, I am shocked and so very, very sorry to hear about David!! I remember him most from his band days at Monterey with our son, Cameron. He was such a sweet, special young man. David was outstanding .  He was always and Frat. member that added to the group. When he walked thru the Door of FarmHouse Frat. at TechHe brought so much strength  with him. He was a brother to so many at Tech.  I am glad he blessed my life. My prayers are withyour family.
