Desiree Nichole McGowan

Born on February 6, 1973, in Sweetwater, Texas, Desiree was the beloved daughter of Charles McGowan and the late Hazel Mae McGowan.

Desiree's life was filled with a passion for music and education. She became a dedicated music teacher at Westbury Christian School in Houston, Texas, inspiring countless students with her love for the arts and her commitment to their growth. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support will be cherished by her students and colleagues alike.

Desiree is preceded in death by her mother Hazel & sister Deidra.

Desiree is survived by her father Charles McGowan of Lubbock Tx, sister Carla J. McGowan-Wells of North Carolina.

The bond they shared, along with the memories they created together, remain a testament to the love and strength of their family.

As we remember Desiree, we celebrate her spirit and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.

Funeral arrangements will be held at Greenlawn Church of Christ on 12/20/2025 at 10:00 am.
