Dola Francis Miller, age 96, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at ^:30 AM at her residence form a lengthy illness. She was born March 01, 1926 to Franklin and Ruby Ussery at Lonesome Dove, Texas. In 1928 she moved to Lubbock, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; husbands Charles E. Zara and Welborn Miller; her son Sherrill Gene Zara and son-in-law Sam J. Burke; three brothers Gene Ussery, JD Ussery and Bennie Ussery.
She is survived by two daughter Helen Burke and Debra Steele of Lubbock, Texas; son-in-law Ron Steele; two brothers Gerald Ussery, and wife Frances and Henry Ussery ; two daughter–in-laws Kay Zara and Patricia Zara; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren.
A visitation for Dola will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 West 19th St, Lubbock, TX 79407. A funeral service will occur Friday, December 16, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home.
