Domingo R. Sanchez Sr. entered the gates of Heaven on November 17, 2025. He was born on December 4, 1938, in O’Donnell, Texas, to Ladislao Sanchez and Consuelo Rodriguez. One of eleven children, Domingo grew up surrounded by the love and strength of a large family.
In time, he met the love of his life, Josie Revilla. They were married on May 27, 1967, and made their home in Anton, Texas. Together they shared 58 beautiful years of marriage, building a life centered on love, hard work, and devotion to family.
Domingo worked as a welder at Samuel Jackson Manufacturing for 50 years, where he was known for his dedication, craftsmanship, and unwavering reliability. His coworkers respected him for his consistency and his pride in doing things the right way. Over those five decades, he became a steady presence—someone people could count on, both for his skill and his quiet, dependable nature.
The same strength, patience, and steady presence he displayed at work carried into his personal life, where he remained a rock for his family and a quiet example of humility and integrity. He was a man who loved working with his hands—whether building, fixing, or creating. Carpentry, gardening, and any kind of project brought him joy. He was never one to sit still; if there was work to be done, he embraced it wholeheartedly.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jaqueline Elias; his parents; four sisters; and two brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Josie Sanchez; siblings Felix Sanchez, Joe Frank Sanchez, Jose Luis Sanchez, and Yolanda Sanchez; his sons Domingo Sanchez Jr. and Dale Sanchez; his daughter Jessica and son-in-law John Ortiz; son-in-law Mike Elias; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Above all, Domingo loved his family. He was a quiet, calm, and patient man whose presence brought comfort. He enjoyed playing his guitar and exemplified a strong work ethic that inspired everyone around him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
