He was born in Anson, Texas on January 23, 1941 to H. Doyle Barnes and Dahlia Watts Barnes.
He was married to Sherry Lynn Barnes on June 28, 1991.
He had a passion for making people laugh and spending time traveling with his wife. He also had a distinguished career in the United States Marine Corps from 1959 to 1963.
He was survived by son Brent D. Barnes and his wife Mary, step-daughter Wendy K. Cligrow, step-son Brian C Voigt and his wife Christine and several wonderful grandchildren.
Visitation Will be Held at Resthaven on February 21st 5-7pm
Services Will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on February 22nd at 2:00pm.
