

Levelland, Texas. Don graduated from Cooper High School in 1958. There he met the love of his life, Norma Johnson, and they were married on August 22,1958. After graduating, Don proudly served in the United States Army for 6 years. After this, he diligently worked as a farmer, real estate broker and crop adjuster, retiring as a supervisor with John Deere financial. He enjoyed trips to his Cabin at Lake Brownwood to fish, relax, and spend time with family. He was an avid gardener, growing vegetables to share with his friends and family. He had a passion for horses, western movies, and especially John Wayne.
Don was a devoted and loving husband, Dad, Papa, brother, and friend. He was the type of man who never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off of his back. Above all else, he was a devout Christian who loved the Lord with all his heart.
Don is survived by his children, Ricky (Suzanne) Veretto, Randy (Wanda Purser) Veretto, Kimmie (Joel) Lee; grandchildren, Brandi (Rocko Gangelhoff) Veretto, Riley Veretto, Jacob Veretto, Cassidy Veretto, Katie Lee; great-grandchild, Amelia Veretto; sister, Gwen Jackson.
Don was preceded in death by father, Frank Veretto; mother, Jewell Veretto; brother, Bob Veretto.
