Donna Ruth Miller passed from this life into the arms of her Heavenly Father on January 12, 2025, at the age of 82. She was born October 30, 1942, to Herman Lee Whitener and Dottie Mae (Rhine) Whitener in Wheeler, TX.
Donna grew up in Levelland and graduated from Levelland High School in 1960. She married the love of her life, Bruce Miller, in her parents’ living room in Levelland. Donna and Bruce lived in Lubbock where their children, Becky and Greg, were born. Donna and Bruce established The Miller Agency and sold insurance in Lubbock for over 18 years.
Donna and Bruce were inseparable throughout their marriage, spending weekends “junking” for antiques. Bruce preceded her in death in 2000. She is also preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bill, and her sisters Gloria and Shirley.
She is survived by her daughter Becky Miller(& Richard) and her son Greg Miller(& Stephanie) as well as her grandchildren Matt Haynes, Sam Estes(& Kaleen), Dave Miller (& Molly), Jenny Erdmann (& Tom), Sally Armstrong (& Kyle), Abby Miller and Ben Miller in addition to her great-grandchildren Coral, Brooke, James, Kyler, Weston, and Liam.
Donna enjoyed antique “junking”, working in her yard, San Antonio Spurs basketball, and Kansas City Chiefs football.
A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, January 18 at 11:30 A.M. at Resthaven Cemetery, 5740 19th Street, Lubbock, Texas. The family will receive visitors at Resthaven on Friday, January 17 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Lubbock.
