Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Resthaven Memorial Park’s Mausoleum Chapel. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Doris was born on March 7, 1919, in Blum, Texas, to the late Terry and Leah (Ashley) Yocham. She married Elton James in 1939. He preceded her in death in 1997 after 58 wonderful years of marriage. Doris loved to play games, especially dominos, and enjoyed traveling. She was a bookkeeper for Toledo Scales and was a member of the Vandelia Church of Christ in Lubbock.
Those left to cherish her memories include a brother, John Yocham of Lubbock; a sister, Betty Boatright of Dallas; several nieces and nephews; and many great friends.
