Doris Kent, faithful wife of Guy Kent, died September 16, 2010 at the age of 82 following a brave struggle with cancer. Born Doris May Anderson, she was an avid knitter, an enthusiastic supporter of Dogs for the Deaf, and a good friend. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, and her presence will be deeply missed by all her family.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Margaret Anderson, and her husband of 39 years, Guy Kent. She is survived by her brother Gaylord Anderson of Knoxville, TN; her sons, Glen Kent of Lubbock and Gil Kent of Austin, and her grandchildren, Claire, Sean and Brandon Kent of Austin.
Her faith is the common bond shared by her family that abides and provides hope beyond this life.
A graveside service will be held September 17, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Park.
