

Yvonne Morrow was born on March 11, 1927 in Hamlin, TX to Jud and Willie (Irwin) Leslie. She married the love of her life, Homer Morrow on October 19, 1944 in Lubbock, TX. She joined her husband, Homer, and sons Jay and Scotty, with the Lord on March 31, 2016.
She worked as a homemaker and bookkeeper before retiring. She shared her many interests with those around her including sewing, leatherwork, cooking (especially apricot cobblers from the tree in her yard), and travel. She and Homer traveled happily throughout the United States with the Good Sam RV Club and internationally to visit family, always keeping records of their travels. She and Homer also took lessons in Country and Western dancing and enjoyed going to Seniors centers to dance each week. She was a member of Second Baptist Church for over 30 years, and often attended services at Metropolitan Community Church as well. She was instrumental in forming a mother’s group for PFLAG, offering her home for the meetings.
Yvonne is survived by her sister Dorothy Thames, her aunt Laverne Sager, son Les Morrow and his wife Lupe, daughter Karinne Truelock and her husband Sam, daughter-in-law Becky Morrow, and son-in-law John Heagy, many nieces and nephews, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
