She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick George and Helen Mary Harbaugh; her brother, Robert Harbaugh; and her husbands, Dean Smith and Morris Cranford.
Dorothy’s memory lives on through her loving family. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Smith of Lubbock; her son, Mike Smith, and his wife, Kathy, of Lubbock; and her granddaughters, Jill Hooper (husband Brian, sons Jaxon and Zack) of Lubbock, and Kim Bynum (husband Taylor, son Lawson, daughter Parker) of Plano, Texas. A devoted member of St. Luke’s Methodist Church since 1961, Dorothy served her church congregation for several years as the financial secretary. Her career also included working for Lubbockview Christian Church and owning a local Hallmark store. Outside of her work, she found great joy in arts and crafts—especially doll making—and cherished the time she spent with Morris and friends in the Nifty Fifties Car Club.
