Dorothy Wooten

Dorothy was born in Ralls, Texas on February 10, 1937 to Rufus Dennis McCauley and Lena Margaret McKinley.

While Dorothy was growing up she attended schools in: Robinson, Texas, Lorenzo, Texas and Idalou, Texas & while attending Idalou High School she worked in her parents Café in Idalou, Texas where she met her soul mate A D Wooten. They were married on August 8, 1953.

She also worked as a file clerk at the Medical Arts Clinic in Lubbock, Texas from 1980 to 1991.

Dorothy put her heart and soul into her family, taking care of her husband and home while raising her 4 children & later 1 grandchild.

Dorothy has gone to be with the Lord on November 6, 2020 by natural causes.

She was preceded in death by her parents from Idalou, Texas, 2 sisters Nelda Pevey & Wilma Harris both from Ralls, Texas and 1 brother R. D. McCauley from the Dallas, Texas area.

Those left to cherish her memory are: her husband of 67 years A D Wooten of Lubbock, Texas along with 4 Children: Son Jerry Wooten & wife Tina from Crosbyton, Texas, Son Eddie Wooten from Crosbyton, Texas, Rita Wooten from Lubbock, Texas & Daughters Hollie Stapp & Christie Bankston both from Lubbock, Texas, Daughter Margaret & husband Dennis from Flower Mound, Texas and Son Robert Wooten & wife Shawn from Lubbock, Texas. God blessed Dorothy with 9 Grandchildren & 16 Great Grandchildren.

Her family was her life up until the Lord took her home.
