At the age of 17, he joined the United States Marine Corps. He did residential and commercial construction and was a talented cabinetmaker. He was an amazing artist, an avid reader, and enjoyed playing video games. He loved his children and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Adrena Marks.
He is survived by his daughters, Audrey Christopher, Mandy Dunlap, and Alicia Dunlap, all of Lubbock; grandchildren, Jayse Parchman and Megan Casarez, of Lubbock, Annabella and Benton Christopher of California, and special friend Ann Dunlap, of Lubbock; siblings, Tommy G. Dunlap, of Lubbock, Linda F. Coody, of Lubbock, Wanda F. Beale, of Oklahoma City, OK., Sandra K. Howell, of Quitman, MS., Gwendolyn M. Watson, of Atlanta, GA., and many close friends he considered family.
