Doyle was born October 23, 1927 in Lubbock to the late Miller and Vernice (Rucker) Weatherford.
He served in the United States Navy during WWII.
Doyle married the love of his life, Neomia Ross on July 20, 1955.
He was a member of Oakwood United Methodist Church.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Neomia, daughter, Karen McCown and husband, Tom all of Lubbock, son, A.M. Weatherford and wife, Terri of Brownfield, brother, Durwood Weatherford, sister Melva Pearson, grandchildren, Amanda, Brandon, Kinsey and Kasey.
