Services for Durward Robinson, 78, of Lubbock, will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 4, 2010 in Resthaven Mausoleum Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven. Mr. Robinson passed away on Sunday, May 1st.
Durward was born on June 14, 1932 in Oklahoma, to Roy T. and Willie Clark Robinson. He was married to Joyce Collier. He owned and operated Durward’s Automotive and Robinson Construction for many years. He had been a resident of Lubbock since 1950, was a Baptist and co-founder of Exodus Prison Ministry.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Inez Corley.
Survivors include three sons, Robin of Dallas, Bruce of Lubbock, and Philip of Austin; two brothers, Robert and Bill Robinson; one sister, Ina Phares; 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 6-8 pm. Memorials are suggested to Exodus Prison Ministry in Lubbock. Condolences may be offered at www.resthavenfuneralhome.com
