Ed graduated from Cooper High and married Anita Perry on May 21, 1948. Ed had a career in truck driving and was a staff sergeant in the US Army from March of 1944-1946. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
Ed is survived by one sister, his son Dewayne Ward; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Gray.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be at 1:30 PM, July 14, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church.
