She is preceded in death by her husband, Gonzalo (Charlie) Montemayor; daughter, Cynthia Montemayor, of Lubbock; son, Jerry Montemayor, of Lubbock; sisters, Frances Chapa, of Tulia, Lidia Lucera, of Lubbock; brother, Juan Castro, of Lubbock.
She is survived by her daughter, Lucia Montemayor Lara, and her husband JJ, of Lubbock; granddaughter, Cera Montemayor Hernandez, of Lubbock; sister, Eliosa Garcia, of Lubbock; brother, Pete Castro, of Lubbock, and many close friends she considered family. The family extends a special thanks to the dedicated caregivers at Bender Terrace Nursing Home and Interim Hospice of Lubbock.
