

Elta Jean Sarchet, age 80, born on August 28th 1945 in Big Springs, Texas. Was a woman whose kindness, strength, and gentle humor touched every life she encountered. She passed away November 21st 2025 surrounded by her family, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew her.
Elta married the love of her life, Jerry Wayne Sarchet of Tulia, and together they shared over sixty years of marriage, celebrating their milestone anniversary on June 12, 2025. Their marriage was an example of unwavering devotion, partnership, and deep friendship.
Many attributes of her personality included, strong, kind, funny, and an amazing listener. Her family was the center of her world, and she loved them deeply. She loved all animals and felt a natural connection to them throughout her life. In her younger years she was active in 4H and proudly showed her steer, creating memories that stayed with her forever. Her love for animals and nature continued into adulthood and was a beautiful part of who she was.
During her college years she was honored as the Caprock Beauty Queen at South Plains College for the school year 1963 to 1964. She was also named the Lions Club District Two Beauty Queen in Seminole, recognitions that reflected her grace, confidence, and warm spirit.
She shared a successful family business, Sarchet Printing, with her husband, and she dedicated many years to its growth and success.
Elta will be remembered for her warmth, her steady and loving presence, her ability to make everyone feel heard, and the love she gave so generously. Her legacy lives on in her family and in all the lives she touched. The family will forever cherish her memory and take comfort in the beautiful life she lived.
Elta was the proud mother of three sons born in the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s, and five much loved grandchildren.
She is survived by John and his wife Jenny Sarchet, and their children Parker, Chandler, and Chandler’s wife Shea. Paul and his wife Nichole Sarchet. Jerrod and his wife Kinsey Sarchet, and their children Berkley, Braxton, and Beckett. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs Butch and Sugar, and her cat Sassy, who brought her daily joy.
Elta was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mabel Jean Clanton, and her siblings Johnny Clanton and Paula Vickers.
