Elvira was born on Christmas, December 25,1957 in Lubbock, Texas to Felix Herrera Sr. and Inez Herrera. Raised in Lubbock with 11 siblings, Mary Garza, Victoria Cardenas, Frank Herrera, Felix Herrera Jr., Jose Herrera, Alvina Escobar, Jesse Herrera, Ricky Herrera, Frances Herrera, Alfredo Herrera and Gloria Herrera.
Elvira was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother. aunt and friend.She was honest, full of sass, charismatic and fierce; loved by all.
Elvira married Louis Quintero on March 25, 1975 and they had just celebrated 49 years of marriage. She has three daughters, Christine, Audrey and Tammy. She was the Best Mamal to three granddaughters, Annaleigh, Kenzie, and Sophie and he Best aunt to Marie, who she has raised since she has been 7 years old and the very Best mother-in-law to Mike Cappallo, married to Audrey and Gilbert Botello married to Tammy.
Elvira believed in hard work, taking care of family. Her faith was strong teaching the value of love. She worked at Brookdale Grand Court for 34 years, where she was a cook, moving up to cook supervisor and later housekeeper supervisor. She retired in June 2023.
Elvira was proceeded in death by her parents, her sisters: Victoria, Frances, Alvina, Gloria and her brother: Frank.
