Services for Ernest Day, Sr. will be held August 24th, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home 5740 19th, Lubbock, Texas. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
Ernest was born in Eddy, Texas to Cecil and Hilaria Day on June 30, 1939. He married Matilde Martinez on August 16, 1958 in Lubbock, Texas.
Survivors include his daughters, Tina Bierbaum, of Loveland, CO, Dina Day-Uhlir of Virginia Beach, Virginia, sons, Ernest Day Jr. of Allen, TX; Edward Day of Lubbock, TX; and seven grandchildren.
The family will have visitation/service from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday August 23rd, 2012 at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 W. 19th St., Lubbock, Texas.
