Ernestine Ferrell

Ernestine Ferrell, 93, of Carrollton, Texas passed away on April 9, 2013. Funeral Services will be held today in Resthaven Funeral Home’s Abbey Chapel at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Ernestine Ferrell was born on May 30, 1919 in Finney community near Plainview, TX, to the late Gilbert and Carrie(Ingram) Cochran. She married the love of her life Robert Ferrell on June 8, 1934.She had a loving personality and a strong will. She was a member of the DAV Women’s Auxiliary, and where she was very active, and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She was an excellent seamstress, and enjoyed many arts and crafts projects.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Ferrell; daughters Bobbie Owens, and Patricia Hill.

She is survived by daughters Carrie Solley of Dallas, and Paulette Wilson of Austin; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren;8 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Wilson, Jim Solley, Jerry Hill, and Edwin Hill.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
