2022. Estella was born in Windthorst, TX to parents Henry and Ernestine Wimmer on
July 4, 1924.
She graduated from Hermleigh High School and Santa Rosa Hospital
School of Nursing. After her 20 year career in Nursing, she worked In the Admission
Department of Texas Tech University.
Estella (Ed) married the love of her life, Edward (Bud) Reissig on May 25, 1948, and
their 74 year journey together is cherished by family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Alphonse, William, Emil and Anton; her sisters
Philomena, Aurelia, Margaret and Madeline. She is survived by her husband Bud, her
sister Lillian, sons Phil (Kathryn) and Dan (Teresa), daughter Kathy (Ron), grandchildren:
Cory (Kelly), Cole (Lindsey), Cyle (Tina), Aubre (Matt), Sarah (Brett) and Evan (Erica)
and great-grandchildren: Mathis, Tristan, Alice, Henry, Charlie, Stella, Cooper, Kinsey,
Brandon, Avery and Elana.
Estella, with her husband Bud, was a founding and lifelong member of Christ the King
Cathedral Parish. Her family remembers her as the ultimate giver, in kindness and in
care of others. She loved spoiling her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Favorite
pastimes included sewing, gardening and relaxing with family and friends. She will be
missed every day!
The family invites you to celebrate her life with visitation beginning Monday, August 1, 2022 from 5:30pm - 8:00pm with a Rosary at 6:30pm. Services will continue with a 10am Funeral Mass on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
