Eunice Irene Bailey, 93, of Lubbock passed away on December 5, 2013 at Heritage Oaks Nursing Facility. She was born on July 22, 1922 in Marlow, OK to Monroe M. and Rosa E. Hunt. She married Clyde Bailey on July 26, 1937. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1984.
Mrs. Bailey was a home maker who had many talents and hobbies. One of her talented hobbies was sewing quilts. According to her family she made over 100 quilts in her lifetime for children, grandchildren, and friends. Another hobby of hers including collecting. She collected many things including, but certainly not limited to, dolls and chickens. Many of her collectibles she acquired while participating in one of her favorite pastimes which was going to garage sales with her daughter, Frances Puryear. Another one of her talented hobbies was carpentry. Mrs. Bailey helped her husband, Clyde reroof a house and remodel the interior. She also built many gates and any new piece of furniture she wanted.
Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde and son, Joe L. Bailey (2012).
