Fannie Mae Jaushlin

Mother Fannie M. Jaushlin went home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2013 in Phoenix , AZ. where she lived her twilight years with her loving daughter, Pastor Patricia Thomas. She was born in Cameron, Texas to Cleve and Augusta Johnson. She attended O.J. Thomas school in Cameron. Mother Jaushlin met and married the love of her life of over 63 years , Deacon John Jaushlin. To this union was born, Clifford Ray, Johnnie Lee, Dorothy Faye, Katy Nell, Porter, and Patricia Ann. Additionally they adopted their granddaughter, Robin Yolanda. They moved to Lubbock in 1956 to pursue their life together. Mother Jaushlin accepted the Lord at an early age. Upon moving to Lubbock she united with Greater St. Luke Baptist church, Rev. A.L. Davis. She served as Choir member, Missionary Circle Teacher and Sunday School Teacher. She later united with Christ Tempe COGIC, Bishop W. D. Haynes, Sr. She served as Purity Class President and Teacher, Mother’s Board member and Assistant Church Mother, until she was appointed by Bishop Haynes as Church Mother. She also established the Annual Women's Day Hat Service. She served at Christ Temple for the majority of her Christian Life. Mother Jaushlin also served with Bishop W. H. Watson, Sr., Pastor Henry Johnson, her daughter Pastor K.J. Darty and granddaughter Pastor Yolanda Shedd at Holy Tabernacle of Praise. Mother Jaushlin obtained a Dietician Certificate from Texas Tech University where she worked in nutrition for 10 years. She then went on to work for Mr. and Mrs. Shelton Berry for many years. As a result Mrs. Shelton Berry became Mother Jaushlin’s best friend. She then obtained a Nutrition Certificate from Texas A&M Expanded Nutrition, where she taught over 65 families food preparation and nutrition. This was her last employment. Mother Jaushlin is preceded in death by her parents Cleve and Augusta Johnson, her husband Deacon Jaushlin, her sons Clifford and Porter, daughters Dorothy and Katy. Left to cherish her memories are : son, Mr. John and Virginia Jaushlin, Daughter, Pastors Patricia and Bob Thomas, Daughter Robin Jaushlin,. Brother-n-Law Mr. and Mrs. Austin Jaushlin. Daughters-n-Law, Margie and Jeorgina. Grandchildren, Corey, Stephanie, Yolanda, Ophelia, Angel, Andre, Michelle, Anitra, Lindy , Vernon and Deanna. 19 Great Grandchildren and 1 great great grand child. Also her special best friend, Doris Berry. A Host of relatives and friends
