Services for Fermin Paz Rodriguez, 92, of Pecos, will be at 10 am Saturday, at Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Pecos. Burial will follow at Balmorhea Cemetery in Balmorhea. The first Rosary will be at Odessa Funeral Home, in Odessa, at 7 pm on Wednesday, and a second Rosary will be at Peaceful Gardens Funeral Home in Pecos on Friday at 7 pm. Mr. Rodriguez passed away on Saturday, January 28th in Lubbock.
Fermin was born on January 11, 1920 in Saragosa, Texas to Miguel and Manuela Paz Rodriguez. He served in the US Army Company E. 160 th. Infantry during WWII and married Lydia Subia on August 30, 1947 in Brogado (Balmorhea), Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents , four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Belinda Rodriguez of Lubbock; one son, Richard “Dickie” Rodriguez and wife Cindy of Abilene; grandchildren, Richard and Stacey Rodriguez, Joshua Abila, Jarred and Janelle Boone; great grandchildren, Brandon Cortinez, Seth Rodriguez, and Audriana Rodriguez.
