Hi Tio. I've been thinking a lot about you lately. I miss you so much it hurts. Everytime I look into my son's eyes I think of you. But, it brings me joy just knowing that you two have already met. My handsome baby brother Nuni, it's almost a year that you were called to a very special place. I know that you are at peace enjoying the company of our daddy and relatives that are at the other side of the veil with you. Nunie, I understand your best friend, Gore passed today. I am sure I am not telling you something you do not know. Your dog, Gore, missed you so much. Hi Tio, I've been thinking a lot about you lately. I miss you so much. It's still hard to believe that you are gone. I just had one of your favorite meals... tuna fish sandwich with fritos and bean dip. I remember that was one of your "happy meals" (tuna sandwich, fritos, and a big gulp):).
I remember whenever I would call the house and you would answer the phone asking who I was. And I would say "it's yor favorite niece from California" and you would say "oh, hi Marisol". Then I would say "no Tio, the pretty one", then you would reply with "oh, Rosalinda! How are you?" We would go through the same 'ol skit EVERYTIME. But I loved it. And I miss that. Or I was just remembering the other night when you would always pinch us with your toes, or give us "indian burns" on our arms. You used to say that was your way of showing us you loved us. I now do that to Samantha, except the toe pinching part. I still have to practice to master that skill. That takes lots of pure talent in order to do that.
I will always love you and hold you close to my heart. I miss you Tio and I hope and pray that heaven is bringing you all the peace and happiness (and pain free) you deserved here on earth.

Nunie, I miss you so much. I miss when I called the house and you answered, I'd say hi Nunie and you would ask who was calling, I'd say "your favorite sister" and you would respond "oh, hi Prieta" and I'd say you know it's me, and you'd say "How is Jesus?"  Always joking with us, and only you knew the misery and pain you were going through. But you continued to make us all laugh. Before we'd get off the phone you'd always tell me to take care and that you loved me. I hold that dear to my heart. You, Mae, and I did so much as little kids and growing up. We always played,and made up games. We would also walk to the park, and play for hours. Remember, we'd pack peanut butter sandwiches, and the left overs we'd feed to the ducks. We'd laugh cause the ducks would cough and dip their head in water because the peanut butter was too dry. The three of us could go to 7-Eleven with a quarter each, and we'd spend an hour there trying to decide what to get.  It's the little things we did together with hardly any money to spend, but we were rich with love and care for one another. Now I sit here and ponder, how blessed I am to have had you as a brother. This is how i see my brother seeing Chelsea for the first time  on the bridge. 
I lost them in less then a week apart.Rainbow Bridge.Just this of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bride.When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,that pet goes to Rainbow Bride.There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together There is plenty of food,water and sunshine,and our friends are warm and comfortable.All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor.Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.The animals are happy and content,except for one small thing;they each miss someone very special to them,who had to be left behind.They all run and play together,but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.His bright eyes are intent.His eager body quivers.Suddenly he begins to run from the group.Flying over the green grass,his legs carrying him faster and faster.You have been spotted,and when you and your special friend finally meet,you cling together in joyous reunion,never to be parted again.The happy kisses rain upon your face,your hands again caress the beloved head,and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet,so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together....

To my beautiful wife's uncle Nunie that I wish I could have met. Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet you, but I've heard nothing but positive things about you. However, I was blessed to be able to go to Texas and meet Marisol's Texan family. I can see where she gets her great sense of humor. 
To all the Tias, Tios, cousins and grandmother, I pray that you will be blessed with the blessings you stand in need at this time. May you all embrace eachother with much love and respect. 
When the day comes that Marisol and I have our adopted son/daughter, we will make sure that he or she will know of that great and humble man/unce,  you all speak so highly of.

You were my older brother who was actually my uncle. You listened and quietly raised me with great patience. You watched me make mistake after mistake and still stuck by my side. At times we didn't see each other for periods of time but I always craved to be in your presence. I always missed you during those times but nothing like I miss you now. I wish I could run away with you again but this time I can"t follow you, But Ringo is there. I know how much you guys loved each other. I'll miss listening to you talk to me in a knowing way that you have letting me know I was doing something wrong or right. I will miss the way you sound,laugh,and smile. You always made me feel good about myself and I thank you for that. I just miss you so, so much man! Love you always Rocky or as you'd say "Wocky!"

It was the shocking news, that brought tears to my eyes. And you made me remember what it was like to cry. On that dreadful day, God decided it was your time, your time to go, so He took your life away,
And everyone felt the pain, the pain that you had been suffering for so long. It's harder than I ever thought life could be without you. So the family will always think of you, And we will always know that you'll be looking down on us keeping us safe making sure every thing goes okay in our lives, making sure that we live a good life. God decided that it was your time to go and we cried as the rain fell that day.
Little drops of rain, whisper of the pain, tears of love lost in the days gone by. I hope you were watching the day the family gathered around your casket to see you lying there so peaceful and I know you saw us all there to show you that we cared a lot about you.
We still sit here and think about you.
We all miss you and we want you to come back home, but we also realize this was just your temporary home. Because now you are really at home with my grandfather, and your father, Joe B. Gonzales, and our Father God in Heaven.

My son, Nunie, was the youngest of 8 children.  I lost him a month ago today. 
I stand before with a heart that aches, knees weakened and shoulders, so heavy re-living life, becoming regretful for I questioned why God took my Nunie away.

Don't think of him as gone away his jouney's just begun.Life holds so many facets this earth is only one.Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years.Think how he must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away.And think of him as living in are hearts of those he touched...for nothing loved so much [yes to god]
