Florence Ermia Bruce was born on May 9, 1937 in Frankenmuth, Michigan, and left this earth peacefully on March 12, 2019 at her home in Lubbock, Texas. She was the youngest of six children.

“Flossy” was a fun, generous and outgoing lady who loved all animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed reading, playing dominoes, cooking and crafting. She was always ready to extend a helping hand to friends and loved ones. She loved meeting new people and spent most of her career as a restaurant manager.

She was preceded in death by her husband, E.H. Bruce.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Barbara; her beloved niece, Debbie and husband Tom and their children, Matthew and Amanda Baker of Frankenmuth, Michigan; her dearest friends, Betty Hamm of Wolfforth, Melody McNeely of Lubbock, and Sherry Whitney of Nevada, along with many other family members and dear friends.

The family would also like to extend their deepest heartfelt thanks to the wonderful people at Caprock Home Health and Area Community Hospice for their sincere loving care extended to Florence.

In lieu of flowers, Florence requested donations to an Animal Rescue or Shelter of your choice. Online condolences may be offered on the website www.resthavenfuneralhome.com.
