Frances Holt, also known as “MeMe”, passed from this life into the presence of her Savior on May 20, 2024, at the age of 97 in Anton, Texas. She was born on February 6, 1927 on a farm in Webster City, Iowa to a loving family, Vere and Mabel Pelton.
Frances wore many hats. As an admitting clerk, she worked in several hospitals from 1951 through 1971. She worked as an accountant, holding a management position, a tax specialist and she started her own business, Stockman’s Supply. She was known for her kindness, her love, and her faithfulness to God. Frances was saved in a little country church as a 7 year old girl in Washburn, Iowa. She was guided by her strong christian beliefs serving her Lord through teaching and music, raising her children in the admonition of the Lord leaving a Godly heritage.
Frances married Lloyd Holt September 24, 1947 in Clayton, NM spending 58 years as a devoted wife. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, her son, David, and her precious beloved great granddaughter, Kodi. Frances is survived by her children: Sharon Sanders of Anton, Texas, Bonnie and Phil Boyd of DeKalb, Texas, Patrick and Shonda Holt of Lubbock, Texas, and daughter-in-law, Gerita Holt of Shallowater, Texas. Her 11 grandchildren: Debi, Dona, Bobby, Tannah, Richie, Brandon, Brian, Allen, Jason, Kielle and Kindle as well as 35 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren
