Frankie Mae Bell Cooley

Born on August 1, 1919 in McLean, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Lillie Mae Gregory and Edwin Frank Bell. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Joe H. Cooley, a brother, Ford Bell and a grandson, Matthew Clem.

Mrs. Cooley and her husband moved to Charlottesville in 1999. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a member of First Baptist Church Park Street.

She is survived by sons Dr. Edwin Mark Cooley and wife Loralee of Cordell, OK; Gregory Joe Cooley and wife Frances of Charlottesville, and a daughter; Mary Suzann Clem and her husband David of Sterling, VA.; two sisters, Bonnie Marie Clark of Lubbock, TX and Imogene B. Carlton of Denton, TX. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Gregory Cooley, Jr. Brian Clem, Kevin Clem, Jane Cooley Fruehwirth, Angela Jones and McRae Covington and ten great-grandchildren.

A funeral service celebrating Frankie’s life will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday April 19, 2013 in Resthaven Funerawl Home's Abbey Chapel. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial.
