Gary was born in Shamrock, Texas, to Claude and Charlene Pillers. He would go on to graduate from Monterey High School in 1962. That same year Gary married the love of his life, Paulette Peel Pillers, and would spend the next 63 years building a beautiful life with her.
Gary worked as an electrician for Lubbock Electric for 27 years until his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking – creating amazing works of art. Gary’s faith was important to him and he was a devoted member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lubbock, Texas, and currently, Disciples Christian Church in Plano, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Paulette Pillers; sons, Brent (Pam) Pillers, Colby (Lei) Pillers; grandchildren Clare (Donnie) Carona, Audrey (Drew) Webber, and Bryce (Brandie) Ruegg; seven great-grandchildren; and his sister, Sherry (Jerry) Carlson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gary’s memory to Kingdom Come Ministries in Lubbock, Texas.
