

Geneva Mae (Genny) Cline Berry Campbell passed away May 12, 2013 in Lubbock. She was born July 13, 1923 to Henry and Nealy Anna Tapp Cline in Wolfe City, Texas. Genny married Milford Audrian Berry, May 25, 1942, who was killed in action in the south Pacific July 13, 1945. She later married Edgar Leroy Campbell July 7, 1946 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. They enjoyed 48 years together until his death on August 31, 1994.
Genny is survived by Darryl Berry and wife Carole, Steve Campbell and wife Shari, Alan Campbell and wife Perry; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Ralph, Vernon and A.H. Cline, and grandson, Quentin Joel Berry.
Genny was a member of First Christian Church, Lubbock where she sang in the choir for many years and volunteered in the office and library. She was a longtime volunteer with Hospice of Lubbock where she was involved in a variety of agency duties including direct patient care, bereavement services and was instrumental in setting up the hospice library. She was honored with numerous awards and recognitions for service over the years. Genny also served on the Hospice Board and the Mayor’s Luncheon Committee. Genny left us with many wonderful memories and this prayer she said daily written in the front of her Bible: Lord may the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in thy sight.
We love you Genny, Mom, Memaw, Meme. Now you can square dance with Ed again.
Come and go visitation will be today, May 14, 2013 from noon until 7:00pm in Resthaven Funeral Home. Memorial services will be tomorrow, May 15 at 1:00 pm in First Christian Church. Burial will be private in Resthaven Memorial Park. Memorials can be made to First Christian Church of Lubbock.
