Glenn was a member of the greatest generation who served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II. He worked for many years as mechanic and service manager for Gentry Ford Lincoln Mercury in Levelland. Then, he went on to work in the oilfield for Robert McHam Inc. for many years before he retired from Lufkin Industries. He also served as a past Post Commander and was a life-time member of the VFW. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes, taking drives, tinkering in his shops, and anything that had to do with his grandkids and great-grandkids.
Glenn was preceded in death by his mom, Josie Waldrop Robinson; father, James Barkley Robinson; brothers, Leroy, Elmer, Jessie, and Robert and sisters, Winnie and Nellie.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Flora Mae Robinson; daughter, Glenda Taylor of Spade; sons, Stacy & Cindy Robinson and Jimmy Robinson both of Lubbock; step-sons, Benny Judah and Allan & Gretchen Judah of Lubbock; grandchildren: Amy & Daryl Carnes of Abilene, Ashley Judah of Oceanside, California, Tana Lynn of Spade, Kristi & Trent Lowe of Wolfforth, Kelsey & Dylan Otts, Blake Judah, Zachary Judah, Courtlyn Judah, and Eli Judah all of Lubbock; great-grandkids: Jayden & Marissa Taylor, Brett & Ethan Carnes, and Brealyn & Kinslea “Blondie” Lowe.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Resthaven Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 24, 2018 in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel with Pastor Trent Lowe officiating.
