Glenn D. Thrash, 85, was born on October 25, 1940, in Sacul, Texas, and took his final breath on Saturday, November 15, 2025. He married the love of his life, Martha “Jeannie” Jean Kahlich, on August 1, 1962, in Levelland, Texas. Together they shared 63 wonderful years filled with adventure, laughter, and deep devotion.
Glenn and Jeanie enjoyed traveling across America and even into Mexico, creating memories that their family will cherish forever. Throughout his life, Glenn worked in farming, spent many years at the cotton gin, and became a pilot, flying for Chaparral Flying Service. Along with traveling, he loved to fish and found peace in time spent outdoors.
Even after retiring, Glenn continued to visit the gin to catch up with other farmers, often taking drives just to check the crops. He also enjoyed quiet days at home watching Fox & Friends—his favorite way to start the morning. Glenn was always the first to sit down at the table, the fastest to finish his meal, and without fail, the first to the desserts. He certainly had a sweet tooth.
Glenn was preceded in death by his father, D.C. Thrash; his mother, Cauline Bussamas; and his brothers, Wallace and Kenny Thrash.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannie; his sons, Darrell Thrash and wife Kathy, and Curtis Thrash and wife Tonya; and his five grandchildren: Blake Thrash and wife Kristen; Zane Thrash and wife Danielle; Paige Johnson and husband Brennen; Nick Thrash and wife Gina; and Denver Thrash. He also leaves behind five great-grandchildren: Beau and Beckett Thrash, Stetson and Ruby Thrash, and Brentz Johnson.
