Gradine Fisher Perry, 97, went peacefully home to be with Jesus on Sunday, April 19th at 8:27pm in the comforting presence of her family.
Gradine was born on September 19th, 1922 in Comanche, Texas. She was the oldest child of George Pinkney and Vera Gray Fisher. She graduated from Snyder High School and later married her soul-mate W.C. Perry on August 17, 1946.
Gradine was a military spouse and a devoted stay at home mother. Her greatest passion was caring for her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed taking walks, reading books, people watching and most of all watching all types of sports ESPECIALLY anything with her beloved Texas Tech Red Raiders. Gradine was a 28 year survivor of Breast Cancer and avid supporter of finding a cure to ALL CANCERS.
Gradine is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years W.C. Perry and her younger siblings Florine Gray Lee and Billy Webb Fisher. She is also preceded in death by her daughters Shirley Perry Biffle and Beverly Carol Perry; twin sons David and Donald Perry and her grand-son Barry Hutto.
Gradine is survived by her daughters Jackie Sue Perry of Lubbock, Debra Perry of Lubbock and son-in-law Nick Biffle of Houston.
She is also survived by her grand-daughters: Michele Biffle of Houston, Krista Biffle of Lubbock and Angie Biffle Graham of Lubbock.
Gradine has 4 great-grandchildren Braxton, McKynlee, Karyson and Adilynn Graham all of Lubbock.
Gradine “NANNA” Perry will forever be remembered for her angelic presence here on earth. Her love to ALL that she encounter was unconditional.
